1 |
These rules are intended to ensure the smooth running of the Writtle Wanderers. Members are referred to Para 7.3 of the Club Constitution on disciplinary matters. |
2 |
The disciplinary rules have been prepared on behalf of the Club Committee. |
3 |
Any player/member not wishing to be bound by these rules will be asked by the Club Committee to relinquish his membership of the Writtle Wanderers forthwith in accordance with the Club Constitution. |
4 |
The Club’s Disciplinary Officer is a full Member of the Club Committee. His/her position in office can be reviewed each year at AGM, or in certain cases, in the interim period. Members should refer to the Club Constitution in that regard. |
5 |
All disciplinary matters will come within the ambit of the Club Disciplinary Committee as appointed as a Sub-Committee by the Club Committee to deal with such matters. Membership of that Sub-Committee is not exclusive and is open to all members of the Committee and Coaching staff. It will normally consist of the following members – Disciplinary Officer, Club Chairman, Head Coach, Team Captain, Honorary Secretary and such other Committee Members/Members of Coaching staff as the President and Chairman see fit to co-opt from time to time. The Disciplinary Committee shall be formed of not less than 3 of those mentioned above. |
6 |
The Disciplinary Committee shall normally arrange to meet within 14 days of any offence. The Club Chairman shall be responsible for forming the Disciplinary Committee and for ensuring that the offending individual is notified of the time and date of the meeting. |
7 |
Note that disciplinary items 1, 2 and 3 of the Schedule of Club Fines do not require the scrutiny of the Disciplinary Committee unless there is repeated offence and breach of those rules by any individual or unless that individual specifically requests a Committee hearing. Such request for a hearing is to be made within 7 days of the date of the offence. |
8 |
Appeals from the decision of the Disciplinary Committee will be made to the Club Committee at the next scheduled Committee meeting. Any such Appeal against a Disciplinary Committee decision should be made within 7 days of the Disciplinary Committee ruling. |
9 |
Payment of fines as set out above and as imposed by the Disciplinary Committee shall be made within 14 days from the date of the decision. The exceptions are disciplinary items 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Schedule of Club Fines where payment should be made within 14 days of the offence.
