Writtle Wanderers RUFC

The 2010 Tour, from 30th April until 3rd May.  39 Wanderers invaded Brussels for the weekend.  We had to endure the following things, in no particular order:

1.  Trumpets
2.  Drums
3.  An impromptu tour of Brussels from Mark George
4.  Beer
5.  France
6.  Spanner moaning
7.  Karaoke
8.  Rugby
9.  Club members getting left on a ferry
10.  Panama Hats
11.  Rain
12.  Losing graciously

We played 2 excellent games of rugby, against the Mechelen club in Belgium, and Mauberge in France.  Unfortunately, neither of the opposition had been drinking heavily for the 48 hours previous to the games, so, in the interests of fairness and doing our bit for international relations, the Wanderers lost both games.  Conor Coyle was our points scoring hero, bagging all 7 of them.

We would of course like to thank our host clubs for their hospitality, and wish them every success for the future.
