Writtle Wanderers RFC prides itself on its friendly welcome to players, new and old. Formed by a small group of friends in the summer of 2002, we have since grown to be a real force in Essex rugby. This is largely due to the social atmosphere that the club seeks to create, which has led to many new players joining us over the last four seasons and sticking with us!
The fantastic commitment to training, playing and socialising wouldn't exist if the players didn't enjoy it! If you've any doubts about whether you'd like to come along and join us, then just speak to our Membership Secretary, Matt Morris, or come along to a training session or to watch a game. We promise that you'll be given a warm welcome and made to feel at home, whatever level of rugby you wish to play - or even if you'd just like to be a social member...

Annual Subs are now due from all members of the Club. This year the subs have been increased to £40. This is the first increase since the Club was formed and is required to fund the increasing costs of running the Club. With more games being played, we have to meet more expenses for pitches, referees, food and washing of shirts. The increase was unanimously approved at the AGM. Please try and make the effort to pay your subs before the Treasurer has to come chasing you - it takes a lot of effort from the Committee to run the Club and we don't need the extra effort of chasing up non-payers! You can pay your subs by cheque or cash to Gary Hall or Tim Janes, or if you're into online banking, by making an online payment into the Club account which is detailed below. If you do pay online, be sure to let Gary know by email (gary @ wwrufc.org) so that he can mark you down as paid! Please make cheques payable to "Writtle Wanderers RFC".
